PLTI 2006
The first PLTI training was carried out in a three-week intensive training in the summer of 2006 in Hawaii, focused on special libraries. 18 participants were selected from American Samoa, Marshall Islands, Territory of Guam, Marianas Islands, Republic of Palau, and the FSM states of Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Yap.

The third PLTI training was held again in Hawaii with a special focus on academic libraries. 17 participants were selected from all over the Pacific region, including Marianas Islands, Territory of Guam, American Samoa, Republic of Marshall Islands, Republic of Palau, and the FSM states of Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei, and Yap.
